About Us

Check It Nola is a research study designed for 15-26 year old Black men who have sex with women in order to promote sexual health and wellness through prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (STD), STD treatment, partner communication and condom use. We hope this site will be shared with others to provide information and education to peers and partners.

This website was created by researchers at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine with the assistance of our Community Advisory Board and the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) Design Works as part of a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded research project, named “Check It”.

Feedback on the website is welcome and appreciated and can be emailed to or call us at 504-988-2345.
